Lagoon

On Friday my mom's ward had Lagoon day, and since Kurt was off we took we took the boys, since I'm preggers and can"t ride on pretty much any ride, my job was picture taker. My boys are have no fear when it comes to rides, they'll ride anything they are tall enough to go on (which still isn't that much), but they had a blast. Whenever they would find a ride that they liked they would want to go on it again and again. They did this with the Tidal Wave, the Jumping Dragon, the Music Express, and the Dinosaur Drop. After like the 4th time on the Jumping Dragon Kurt and my mom were pretty sick and had to take a little break from rides. At the end of the day we stopped at the water fountains and let them play for a while, they were pretty exhausted by the end of the day, but we had so much fun.

Play Ball!

Since Keaton, just played his last game on Saturday and had closing ceremonies already I thought I should probably post some pictures of him playing T-ball. This year our neighborhood decided to form a team, which was nice, since all the kids live close and will be going to the same school as Keaton, plus it was nice to get to meet some more neighbors.
Keaton is really starting to get good at hitting, in fact he's much better hitting left handed, nearly every game he was getting most of his hits off the coach and not having to use to Tee.

Just so you know... I'm not fat!

So we do have one more tiny announcement to make...I'm pregnant! After we got back from Vegas I really wasn't feeling great and one of the girls at my work kept teasing me that i was pregnant. I kept blowing her off and telling her "whatever", but I finally decided to take a test, and it came up positive. This just happened to be April 1st, so when Kurt came home, I totally thought he was going to think I was playing an April fools joke on him, but luckily he didn't.
Here is our ultrasound at 8 weeks, that little speck with the arrow pointing at it, is the baby
So now I'm 14 weeks along, in that awful stage where you really can't tell if someone is just getting fat or pregnant. So if you see me just know that I have something else giving me a pot belly, its not all that ice cream and peanut butter M&Ms that I've been eating!

So once again, I'm not the best blogger, but really, who is? Anyways we haven't done a ton the last two months, but we did celebrated Easter...

It snowed Easter morning

The boys got lots of fun things from the Easter bunny!
and had lots of fun decorating eggs.

And at the end of May Keaton graduated from preschool. His school put on a program and he did awesome, we are so proud of him, and can't believe he'll be in kindergarten next year!

Vegas Baby!

Our trip to Vegas was so much fun, it was so nice to actually go on a vacation without the kids (thanks Mom and Dad!). We went with my sister and drove down, we got there around 2:30 pm, went down to the buffet and ate, then started shopping!!! we stayed at T.I., which is right across the street from Fashion Show mall, which for me was perfect! We shopped for 4 hrs there! Kurt was quite pooped by the end of it, but he did great, and didn't complain once. After shopping we met up with some of my sister's friends and went to dinner at Maggiano's, its an amazing italian place, the food was amazing! The next morning Kurt and I walked down to the Paris hotel and ate breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi, this little french restaurant right across the street from the fountains at Bellagio. It was a little too cold and windy to sit outside, but we got the next best thing, they sat us right next to the window. We had an amazing view of the strip, and to top it off, our crapes were delicious! Then we met up with my sister at the Miracle Mile shops at Planet Hollywood and shopped for several more hours. I was most excited to shop at H & M since we don't have one in Utah, unfortunatly the store was packed, but I did manage to find some cute shirts and jeans, for way cheap. That evening we ate at an amazing Mexican restaurant at T.I. called Isla. It was so much good food, we totally could have gotten away with just appetizers, because by the time, out entrees arrived we were stuffed! Then we headed off to go see Daniel Tosh. He is one of my new favorite comedians. He was great, and even his opening act, a guy named Jasper Redd was hilarious. It was such a fun night, I really didn't want it to end.Sunday morning we decided to skip breakfast and just have an early lunch. So, we drove down to Mandalay Bay and ate at the Burger bar. This place was SO, SO good! They had the most amazing burgers and fries and I ordered a twinkie shake, it was so yummy, its sounds like such a weird combination, but it was so delicious! Then we headed over to the Premium Outlets. I found such amazing deals at the Kenneth Cole outlet, I so wish we had one here in Park City. I would be there every week! By the end of shopping here we were all pretty shopped-out! We went back to the hotel and took naps. For dinner that night we drove down to MGM and ate at the Grand Wok, Dani and Kurt wanted sushi and they also had great Chinese food for me, then we walked down to the fountains at Bellagio. We were all completely exhausted by the end of this trip, but we had a ton of fun!

Happy Birthday Kar-kar!!!

I can't believe my baby is 3, he's getting to be so big, it makes me a little sad. Karter has been so exited about this birthday, for the past several weeks, everytime he sees a toy on TV he says "I want that for my birthday!" But when it came to planning this event he knew exactly what he wanted. He wanted to go bowling have chicken nuggets and a batman party.
That morning Kurt took the boys out for dough nuts, so we put candle in them and sang him happy birthday.
That afternoon, we went bowling. It made my laugh that this little 3 year old wanted to go bowling, but it was his day after all! His attention lasted about halfway through the first game, then he just wanted to go to the arcade.
Then for his party we got a chicken nugget platter from chick-fil-a.
He got lots of presents, I think his favorite was an Imaginext space shuttle that aunt Dani gave him. That night he tried to go the sleep with it.
And here is his favorite thing of all, his cake. He kept telling me that he wanted a batman cake, so we started looking online until we found one he liked. Then we went to Dippidee by my work and had them make it. Besides being so cute, it was So yummy!

Our January and Febuary

So this new year I had two new years resolutions, sticking with a budget and getting Karter off his binkie. So far we have done both, Kurt and I started the Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover after one of Kurt's co-workers suggested the book. Needless to say, I read to entire book in one night, and told Kurt the next day I wanted to do it! We actually started on Christmas day, but so far we've been able to pay off our credit card and put quite a bit on money in savings for our yard and our trip to Vegas! Its been a bit of a roller coaster, I actually really like being on a budget (which I never thought I would say!) but it is hard to sometimes have to pass something up, because "it isn't in the budget", but so far we've done pretty well, and I really think its going to pay off in the long run.
The Binkie on the otherhand was a bit more of a challenge. Karter was totally addicted to the thing, and had NEVER slept without it, so I was quite scared to take it away. But we talked to him about how he was a big boy and didn't need it anymore (we also did a bit of bribing!). After a trip to Target he found an Imaginext castle that he really wanted, so I told him I would get it for him if he would trade it for all his binkies. He agreed and when we got home he gathered all his "ba ba's" and gave them to my mom (so they would be out of the house and away from temptation). He only asked to it a few times after, but he has been without it now since the second week in January., and now he's even more of a big boy! (now we just need to do the potty training and we'll be there!)In January I also turned the big 30. Let me say this is a birthday I have not been looking forward to! At first I wanted to do something huge like a trip, but in the end it was super low key. Kurt and I went and saw the movie Youth in Revolt ( I loved it!) and then we went to Cucina Toscana. Now I have been wanting to eat at Cucina Toscana for years, its always in the best of edition of City Weekly and I've always heard wonderful things about it. Let me say, this place is absolutely AMAZING!!! I kept telling Kurt that it didn't feel like we were in Utah. The place is exactly what I would picture a restaurant in Little Italy to be. Our waiter Marco was seriously THE best waiter I have ever in my life had! The food, the staff, everything was absolutely wonderful, I can't say enough good things about this place!
On February 2nd was the premiere of the final season of Lost. Many of you may not know, but I'm a total Lost addict, and so are many of my co-workers. So for the last few years, we all get together for the first and last episode of each season, since this is the last year, Nolan went all out! Dr. Lloyd catered it and Nolan decked his place all out in Darma gear and tiki torches, it was fabulous, I just wish I had actually taken pictures of the party :(
Kurt's mom also came for a visit in February. So so we all got together for a few dinners and just to hang out. The boys love seeing their cousin Sofia.
So basically, that was our last two months, not a whole lot to report. We are all doing well and hoping you are too!
